| CILA is a high profile and glamorous event that was established three years ago to celebrate and honor creativity and design within the intimate apparel industry. CILA’s aim is to raise awareness about the influence that the intimate apparel sector has on fashion and to recognize the excellence of companies and designers within it. |

| CILA is not only a celebration of creativity and design within the lingerie industry but it highlights how intimate apparel, a 17 billion dollar plus industry, plays a major role in influencing mainstream fashion. It is a sector within the fashion industry that plays a crucial, yet unrecognized role in establishing fashion trends. The goal of CILA is to create excitement and generate exposure to a highly innovative sector within the world of fashion. |

| The format of the event has been specifically timed and planned to allow for networking and the promotion of the industry and its achievements. CILA will be held during Market Week when all the major buyers and manufacturers are in New York. The gala evening starts with a cocktail party, followed by dinner and a fashion show preview which culminates by a spectacular showing of designs featuring Award Finalists before announcing the winners in the different categories of the Lingerie and Swimwear Industries. |

| Two new award categories were added in 2008 to elevate important activities of individuals that continue to make a difference now and in the future for the industry. The first new award category is to encourage new talent and motivate young fashion graduates by presenting for the first time an Award for Graduating Designer of the Year. The second award will be presented to a high-profile celebrity with a recognition Award for Promoting Positive Image Through the Media. |

| Previous events received worldwide coverage throughout the media and continue to establish the event as a premier showcase of new talent and cutting edge design in intimate apparel. Each entrant submits pieces within several categories that are reviewed and judged by a panel of independent judges which consists of industry buyers, consumers and other experts. The results will be monitored by an independent auditor. The winners in each category are revealed the night of the event after a presentation of the finalists. |
